Construction Apprenticeship Programs
Apprenticeship opportunities are available to earn while you learn in Florida’s fastest growing industry – Construction.
Apprenticeship programs consist of hands-on training combined with supplemental classroom instruction. Apprentices earn a progressive wage working full-time for a sponsoring employer learning the skills of the trade. Apprenticeship is a commitment of one to five years, depending on the program and trade, however upon completion apprentices are issued a nationally recognized Completion of Apprenticeship certificate by the State of Florida.
Each registered apprenticeship program operates independently and establishes its application process and minimum qualifications.
Generally apprentices must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Possess a valid drivers’ license
- Be physically able to perform the work of the trade.
