Commissioner Murman’s Virtual Job Fair

Commissioner Sandra Murman’s 9th Annual County Job Fair to be held via Virtual Platform

~More than 70 businesses to attend from across Hillsborough County~

Hillsborough County Commissioner Sandy Murman, in association with CareerSource Tampa Bay will be hosting her 9th Annual County Job Fair, on Thursday, October 8th, from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. via a virtual job fair platform.

More than 70 businesses are registered to participate and 300 registered job seekers plan to attend so far. There is still plenty of room for both businesses and job seekers interested in signing up.

Job seekers must register to participate in the virtual job fair by visiting this webpage: www.CareerSourceTB.com/JobFair. Job seekers will also have an opportunity to create a profile to include uploading of resume and a profile photo.

“This Virtual Job Fair offers both employers and job seekers across the county more opportunities and options,” said Commissioner Murman. “With many of our residents out of work and the challenge of face-to-face meetings, this will be another way to connect employers with potential employees safely.”

A variety of industries from all sectors will be represented in the job fair including Information Technology, Healthcare, Financial & Professional Services, Hospitality, Retail & Tourism, Construction, Transportation & Logistics, and Manufacturing. The Virtual Job Fair will include nearly 50 employers with around one-thousand positions. These employers will have positions available for part time, full time, and remote work opportunities.

“We look forward to participating with Commissioner Murman on this virtual job fair platform,” said CSTB CEO John Flanagan. “The more we can help connect employers to job seekers the better.”

“We are pleased to continue our tradition of sponsoring Commissioner Sandy Murman’s Job Fairs,” said Dan Schneckenburger, Director, Business Services. “This is our first year doing this in a virtual platform, but we know our Hillsborough County business community is rebounding from the COVID-19 shutdowns, and we want to support them in rebuilding and expanding their workforce.”
